Tuttie: u asked why we bought the wedding forward sorry for my late reply, subhan allah i couldn't wait it was so spontanious, we both just decided and that was it, i wanted him as my husband why wait months and months!! i made up my mind and alhumdulilah it feels right. i spoke to his mum our wedding night aswell she was so happy thank God aswell more than me i think that calmed me more!!! :)
THINGS i have learnt since my week and a half of marriage
  • You were right about lingerie :)
  • Men are always hungry
  • If your husband is gonna wash your hair chances are your conditioner is going down the drain!!!!
  • My husbands cooking is better than mine........... uh ohh
  • I finally inderstand why marriage is half your deen, subhanallah it tests you, i marvel at the look of him, it makes me wanna pray out of thanks and we teach eachother soo much, and im scared if i dissapoint my husband im gonna dissapoint god in some way.... inshallah we make eachother better.

Thankyou! There will b a wedding inshallah.

Subhan Allah, thankyou so much i'm so thankful to you guys and your help. So weird that strangers can support you more than your family.

He told his mum that he is going to marry me, and i told my family i am marrying him. His mum is accepting it now because he said we are marrying in febuary, she thought there was no Real intention to marry, once he put his foot down they are listening to him (he is the first son).

I said to my family say what you want if this is my naseeb it is going to happen, wether our future is good or bad its from God and im not gonna not get married cause of fear. My sister is happy she liked him from before, My mum is just gonna get used to it i guess, The real reason im really going forward, since ramadan started alhumdulilah i can't imagine not marrying him, before ramadan it was just questions questions,

So :) thankyou so much for your words, and du'a and for sharing your experiences and story with me aswell.

Can you throw a bigger stereotype in my face????

So for about a year ago a guy asked for my hand, my mum approved, my dad was ok he just wants me to be happy... anyways after months of resistance i agreed about 2 months ago.

So discussions about the wedding, where we are going to live you know normal things. So at the beginning my fam was happy..... his fam was happy. ...........So now it hits

Apparentley because i am "lebanese" i am going to cause drama in married life, a cousin has been thrust in his face for him to marry, my family changed their mind because he wants to go back and live in his homeland.
My mum now has freaked they are all against him, his mum has freaked, initialy it was ok cause i was pretty!! but now my arabic is not fluent enough and i have faults i didn't know i had. and now my fam are telling me all his words are lie's. and im HOWWWWW did i get here??? HOOWWWWWW

we did the right thing, i refused to talk to him until he asked for my hand and his parents knew he asked my fam then he told his parents........... he didnt get my number until it was from my mum! we got approved and what do i do now. he doesn't want to marry is cousin, i'm kinda addicted to him a bit after talking all the time... he refuses to let me go,

My mum is trying to persuade me with offers of good lebanese men, he is getting persuaded with his cuz (i accaualy feel bad for this girl imagine marryin a man who doesnt want you)

and now i dont know .......... like 2 weeks ago wedding preps were underway and now im wondering where the truth is and what part of any of this was the truth or not. im sick of fighting if its not with him its with my family. if they are not fighting with me they are mocking me

oooo jameela!!!!!!

*at work*

2 midd eastern looking men approach me...... "oooo is your name Jameela (beautiful in arabic) no (my name tag says my name) ooo jameela jameela....... um where are you from, where do you think?? in my head i think Iranian. i say i dunno Im turkish ah well i won't say what i thought you were u might get insulted.....( yeah i htink out loud alot & genuinley didnt wanna insult customers) his friend said... why did u think he was an arab! OHHH so u wanna play that game huh punk!!! i said no accually i thought you were iranian.. OHH what "hhahahahha u do look Iranian" oh btw im an arab enjoy your day. both their jaws dropped.. woopsiess yeh yeh !!

just a note... i only used years of built up mid east tension & their own prejeduce outlook to make them uncomfortable, at first i didnt wanna say iranian incase i insulted them... they tried to insult another race (he could say any one)... and they took offence to it.

Personally if u say i look iranian, turkish, arab, english ......... i dont mind and dont take offence that is one reason im thankful for an upbringing in a bi-racial family in australia.

woot woot Essendon!!!!!

Yahhhhhhh Essendon bombers (australian football league) made it in the final 8!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT WOOT ..............

can u tell i was raised by a single dad and older brothers for some time!!!!!

SOCCER, FOOTYYYY & jet li, jean claude & seagull yeh yeh yeh!!!!! ohhh &&&&&& i did tae kwan do when i was younger.
